The Truth In His Eyes

The church has been busy trying to get her makeup on because she’s so afraid that she will not measure up. And she’s not aware that her beauty is actually tied to not seeing herself in the mirror, judging herself worthy, and then coming before the Groom, but rather, the only mirror she can trust is HER GROOM’S EYES. Beauty is something The Lord perceives and perception is bestowed through communion. The word of promise has been twisted into a word of unfinished lease agreements. The abiding home of habitation where we live continually in His presence has been replaced by an on-again, off-again, he loves me, he loves me not routine. The security of grace has been traded in for the insecurity of performance.

That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,
