  1. Brandon says:

Since our hearts as believers were once like those of the unbelievers, why did God pursue our hearts? And, why were our hearts receptive to His voice while we were still in the dark? What made our hearts different from those around us?

  2. Tim says:

    What do you think?

  3. Brandon says:

… well, I’m really not sure. There’s the debate over fate vs. predestination and all that. However, that issue is a tough pill to swallow for me because if God knew their souls would be unreceptive to His voice, then why did he create them as such?

Right now, I’m thinking of friends and family around me that know the stories in the Bible and yet are dismissive to it. Going back to the “good people” discussion in church from several weeks ago, there are plenty around me whose souls may still be in the dark, yet their actions (generally) are pretty good. And yet, they want nothing to do with church or God.
